Johnny Cash: Sings the Songs That Made Him Famous – Indie Exclusive

We’re thrilled to announce that a limited ‘Indie Exclusive’ edition of Johnny Cash Sings the Songs That Made Him Famous,  pressed on “sunrise yellow” color vinyl, will be available at independent record stores beginning March 27th. The pressing is limited to just 300 copies, which are expected to go quick.

Originally released in 1958 on Sun Records, Cash’s second album was a smash success, with singles such as “I Walk The Line”, “Guess Things Happen That Way”, and “Ballad of a Teenage Queen” shooting to the top of the charts and earning Cash a reputation as one of country’s greatest songwriters and performers. The Man In Black is accompanied by Luther Perkins and Marshall Grant, known at the time as The Tennessee Two. The album was produced by Sun Records founder, Sam Phillips, and Jack Clement.

Visit an independent record store near you on Friday, March 27th to find a copy.  Find an indie store to order online from here. You can pick up the black vinyl edition of this record, along with all of our Johnny Cash reissues, in our online store.
