Summer Releases from ORG Music

We’ve had a busy summer here at ORG Music, with a number of great releases…

Earlier in June, The Toothaches released their debut studio album, O! Be Joyful, followed by a handful of NYC gigs.

On June 19th, Yellow Red Sparks released their debut EP, Four Steps In Corsets. iTunes call them New & Noteworthy in their Singer/Songerwriter category. OC Weekly said, “It’s impossible not to be drawn into the music of Yellow Red Sparks when they’re this good.” Examiner featured the EP as part of their Indie Music Mondays series.

On the same day, The Chuck Dukowski Sextet released their ORG Music debut, Haunted.  iTunes also called it New & Noteworthy, for the Alternative category. Punk News  gave the album 4.5/5 stars, calling it Chuck’s “most powerful, and most terrifying, music in three decades.”

July brought us the reissue of fIREHOSE’s classic, Flyin’ the Flannel. We have limited pressing of color vinyl that’s only available from our store.

And of course, our Black Lion jazz reissue series kicked off, with releases from Duke Ellington,  Thelonious Monk, Miles Davis, and Dexter Gordon. Johnny Griffin and Ben Webster releases are in production now.
