The Offspring ‘Americana’ Vinyl Release

You may have already heard about our plans to reissue The Offspring’s fifth studio album, Americana, on vinyl for the first time since its original 1998 release. We’re excited to officially announce that records are now being pressed, and we have set a release date.

A limited edition red color vinyl pressing will be available at Department of Record Stores locations on May 26th. This marks the second exclusive color vinyl release in our Dept. of Record Stores Vinyl Club series, after Ben Folds Five Whatever And Ever Amen hit the shelves yesterday.

Americana will be widely available on black vinyl starting June 23rd. Both pressings come on heavyweight 180gram vinyl, pressed in the Czech Republic.

While it was previously reported to be coming as early as February or March, the release was moved back out of necessity. To ensure they were happy with the record, we gave the band an opportunity to weigh in on our test pressing quality control. With pressing plants being booked beyond capacity due to the large volume of Record Store Day releases in April, we had no choice but push this back. It will be worth the wait!
