Linda Martell: Color Me Country (RSD June Drop)
We're thrilled and honored to bring the sole album from country great Linda Martell back to vinyl with the first pressing in over half a century! Martell rose to fame as the first black woman to play the Grand Ole Opry in 1970, and subsequently became the first to find success on the Billboard Country charts with hits like "Color Him Father", "Before the Next Teardrop Falls" and "Bad Case of the Blues". Her album Color Me Country, originally released the same year, is finally being reissued exclusively for Record Store Day 2022!
The reissue, limited to just 2,000 copies, was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed on transparent orange color vinyl at Furnace Record Pressing. Pick up a copy on June 18th at a store near you.
"I am so happy that so many people seem to love my singing. I love country music, I always have and I never thought in a million years that this would ever be. It has been a long road and I hope that you all continue to enjoy the album. I truly appreciate all of your support." - Linda Martell (2021)
