Sun Ra, the extraordinary, outlandish, and sometimes controversial pianist, is often described as an “acquired taste”, with a massive and diverse catalog. This release is a good place to start for uninitiated or dismissive listeners. The album showcases Ra’s grounding in the jazz tradition, with unique takes on standards like “Time After Time,” “Easy to Love,” and “But Not for Me”. Not unordinary for Sun Ra, the recording process was informal; “Can This Be Love?” was recorded in his Chicago apartment in 1955; he is accompanied only by the great Wilbur Ware on bass. The other five tracks, which feature, among others, Ra’s longtime associate John Gilmore on tenor saxophone, were recorded at the Choreographer’s Workshop rehearsal space in 1962 and 1963. The album was mastered for vinyl by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering, and pressed at Pallas Group in Germany.

The Loneliest Punk is the debut solo album by Fatlip (of the seminal LA hip-hop group The Pharcyde). The album was originally released on Delicious Vinyl records 2005. The album was produced by acclaimed hip hop producer J-Swift (who was responsible for The Pharcyde’s debut album, Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde) and producer Squeak E. Clean, among others. It features guest MCs Chali 2na (of Jurassic 5) and Shock G (aka Humpty Hump). Out of print since its original release in 2005, the album we previously available exclusively for Record Store Day 2019, and is now widely available in a fantastic swirl color pressing. The vinyl includes a digital download card of the entire album and more.

Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer team up to cover two T. Rex classics on this limited edition 7” vinyl release, originally only available for Record Store Day 2019. Klinghoffer takes on guitar, bass, and vocal duties, with Smith on the drums. The release is limited to 3,000 copies worldwide.

The “Infinite Summer” EP shows a more playful 80’s spin on Winter’s already nostalgic sound. This bilingual release, with songs in both English and Portuguese, is uplifting and fresh. With fun dream pop songs such as “Everything” and “Bonsai” as well as introspective tracks like “Always Teenager” and “Disappear,” there’s a little something for everyone. The indie pop tunes were recorded at the former Echo Park Lolipop Records studio produced by the 80’s pop master, Wyatt Blair. The release was pressed on mint color vinyl.

Bass legend Mike Watt teams up with Bucky Pope, John Herndon, Vince Meghrouni, and Pete Mazich for their new project, Tone Scientists, on this limited edition seven inch. Side A features a Bucky Pope original, “Nuts.” On side B, the group takes on Sun Ra’s “Tiny Pyramids” with incredible results. Previously released for Record Store Day Black Friday 2018, this fantastic 7" is now widely available. Half of the pressing, randomly shipped, will come on silver color vinyl, with the other half on standard black vinyl.

Recorded live at Slim’s in San Francisco, Mindfulness is the brilliant soundscape created by drummer William Hooker, along with Glenn Spearman on tenor saxophone and DJ Olive. The five Hooker compositions flow into each other, one after another, seamlessly, as if to take the listener on a musical voyage through time and space. The layers of vibrant sound, accompanied by trashing drums and shrieking sax show the incredible ability of each musician to take their instrumental vocabulary to a new level. The album receives its first ever vinyl release with this clear 2xLP pressing, featuring two unreleased bonus tracks, preivously only for Record Store Day, but now widely available.

Würm was a sludge metal band started in 1973 by bass player Chuck Dukowski, who would later join Black Flag. Without Würm, the genres of punk rock and hardcore would never have been the same. The band’s practice space, the Würmhole – a hangout for musicians in Hermosa Beach during the mid-late 70’s – is where Keith Morris and Greg Ginn met Dukowski and ultimately formed the original Black Flag line-up. The band’s only album, Feast, was released in 1985 after the band’s demise. With the help of Chuck Dukowski, the long-out-of-print LP is being “exhumed” and reissued, along with a second LP featuring unreleased tracks, demos, and more. The package comes complete with retrospective liner notes from Dukowski himself, plus never-before-seen photos from the early days. Previously an exclusive for Black Friday 2019, the double LP was released on limited edition blue color vinyl.

The Ad Libs, a phenomenal yet under-appreciated American vocal group hailing from Hudson County, NJ, had their first and only smash hit within their first year as a group, with ‘The Boy From New York City.’ Though several other singles from the doo-wop group landed on the Billboard R&B chart’s, The Ad Libs never released a full length album. Presenting The Ad Libs is the group’s debut album that never happened. A collection of singles, b-sides, and unused studio cuts come together to show the 1960’s soul singers in a whole new light. The tracks were remastered for vinyl at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Pallas Group in Germany on purple color vinyl.

 

Punk legend and X co-founder John Doe has spent decades building a career that spans across various genres and even formats, with dozens of acting credits in film and TV. Particle Kid is the musical identity of singer-songwriter, musician, and visual artist Micah Nelson, who – despite his young age – has an equally impressive resume.
On this split release, the two artists cover each others’ tunes with their own interpretation. As a bonus, John Doe covers a Carter Family favorite, and Particle Kid covers outsider folk hero Michael Hurley. The release was mastered at 45RPM by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed on a 12" smoke color LP at Pallas Group in Germany.

Third Eye is the major-label debut from Redd Kross, released by Atlantic Records in 1990. The album has not been released on vinyl in the US since its original release in 1990. The album features one of Redd Kross' fan favorites, "Annie's Gone". This limited edition green color vinyl pressing comes with a lyric insert.

Janus is a compilation of rare material from Sun Ra and his Arkestra, drawing from tapes recorded between 1963 and 1970, taken from both live and studio performances. The space-age jazz shaman conjures up a variety of styles and moods along the way. The album has been remastered, and pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas in Germany.

All Aboard the Blue Train with Johnny Cash is a collection of train-themed songs that was originally released by the legendary Sun Record Company in 1962. The album features prime selections from the Man In Black’s recordings between 1955 and 1958, including classic songs like “Hey Porter” and “Folsom Prison Blues”. The recordings were remastered and pressed on virgin vinyl.
