Once again, Johnny Cash teams up with Jerry Lee Lewis to deliver a power-packed, one-of-a-kind release. The legends delve into their gospel roots, revisiting the great standards such as "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" and "Give Me That Old Time Religion," as well as interpreting the New Orleans favorite "When the Saints Go Marching In." While the songs are not all traditional gospel favorites, the blend of folksy Sunday-afternoon-drive music makes for a winning package.

There’s A Trumpet In My Soul is the 1975 album from avant-garde tenor saxophonist Archie Shepp, recorded in April of the same year at Sound Ideas Studio in New York City. The record is comprised of two three-part suites and the 10 minute “Down In Brazil,” among which are two vocal parts and a poem recitation. The outing finds Shepp, then in his musical prime, backed by a stellar group of players which grows to 13 pieces at times. This crew includes Ray Draper (tuba), Charles Greenlee (trombone) Dave Burrell (piano), and Jimmy Garrison (bass), among others. For the first time since 1979, the record is being reissued on vinyl. This latest addition to Org Music’s Freedom Records reissue series was mastered for vinyl by Dave Gardner, includes reimagined cover art by Mike Rogers, and was pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas Group in Germany.
TRACKLIST: Side A A1 Suite: There's A Trumpet In My Soul Suite (Part One) 1. There's A Trumpet In My Soul 2. Samba Da Rua 3. Zaid (Part One) A2 Down In Brazil

Flugelhornist Art Farmer and guitarist Jim Hall had a regular group for a time in the mid-’60s but (except for one occasion) had not played together since, until this 1978 LP. This is an unusual effort for CTI in that it is a quintet set without added horns, strings or keyboards. Farmer and Hall are joined by vibraphonist Mike Mainieri, bassist Michael Moore and drummer Steve Gadd for two standards, the title cut and a jazz adaptation of a piece by Ravel. Since Farmer and Hall have long had very complementary styles (both being lyrical, harmonically advanced and thoughtful in their improvisations), it is little surprise that this set is a complete success.
Now this classic recording gets ORG Music’s audiophile treatment with this 180gram double LP 45RPM reissue, mastered from original analog tapes by Bernie Grundman and pressed at Pallas Group in Germany. Each copy of this limited edition release will be individually numbered with a gold foil-stamp.
"Whisper Not" (Benny Golson) - 8:44
"A Child Is Born" (Thad Jones) - 7:40
"Big Blues" (Jim Hall) - 7:23
"Pavane for a Dead Princess" (Maurice Ravel) - 10:50

The record showcases Roy Orbison’s early work, which falls somewhere between the rock & roll that was happening in mid 50’s and the more lush, dramatic sound that he later perfected. The color version comes in white, red, and silver color vinyl, randomly selected and shipped, so you're in for a surprise.

Peggy Lee was in top form in 1955, in every aspect of her career. As a vocalist, she was at her peak. Pete Kelly’s Blues (her best acting role) and Lady And The Tramp (she co-wrote six songs and provided the voices for four characters) were both set to be released. That same year, she recorded 49 selections as radio transcriptions for the World Program Service. These recordings were not released to the public, but used by radio stations with unexpected time to fill. Lee’s cool but inwardly heated voice is joined by frequent collaborators, pianist Gene DiNovi, guitarist Bill Pitman, Bob Whitlock or Don Prell on bass, drummer Larry Bunker, Ramon “Ray” Rivera on congas, harpist Stella Castellucci, and trumpeter Pete Candoli. This series compiles the best selections from those 1955 recordings. These select tunes were mastered for vinyl at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing on pink color vinyl, originally only available for RSD 2021.

Cecil Taylor has always been considered one of the most daring and radical improvisers within the jazz genre, often pushing the boundaries with avant-garde and free jazz compositions. The Great Paris Concert is no exception Taylor's reputation. The artistic communication between the players of Taylor's quartet is second to none, and it's certainly palpable on every track of the album. Echoing each other's melodies, and 'battling' each other with solos, the group may have never sounded better. This historic concert - long out of print on vinyl - has been remastered by Infrasonic Mastering, and is presented across two audiophile-grade LPs, complete with photos and liner notes. It was pressed on white vinyl and limited to 2,000 copies.

William Hooker has been recognized as one of the most innovative musicians and drummers of his generation, leading a variety of ensembles within the worlds of free jazz, experimental, and new music. Hooker's prior collaborators range from avant garde jazz musicians to indie rock legends like Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth. On his latest work, “Symphonie of Flowers”, Hooker weaves three sections into a whole, or a “symphonie” of sorts. As he says, “the piece begins and ends with the drum…my instrument. Its rhythm and variations of timbre are the stabilizing element.”

Pluralone (pronounced ""plural one"") is the solo project of multi- instrumentalist and songwriter Josh Klinghoffer, whose debut album ‘To Be One With You’ was released in November 2019. This single, ""Nowhere I Am"" b/w “Directrix"", is the third in a series of b-side releases from those album sessions. Klinghoffer is joined by former bandmate Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and drummer Jack Irons on ""Nowhere I Am”, but takes on all other duties himself across both songs.
This 10-song debut album from one of Brooklyn's finest rock 'n' roll bands lives up to the expectations set by their previous EP. The arrangements here are simple and uncluttered, with plenty of room for singer Jeremy Fury to dip his vocals in slapback echo reminiscent of Sun Records-era Elvis Presley, and for the backing quartet to bring out the best in songs that reflect the influences of Leiber & Stoller, Eddie Cochran, and The Del-Lords. While the sound retains a '50's-'60s retro vibe, the lyrics apply themselves to universal and even modern concerns.
Track Listing: 1. Trip Into The Light 2. Heart Of Stone 3. Cam Girl 4. Right Out Of Love 5. Some Days 6. Moonlight 7. White Star Bright Love 8. Settle Down 9. You’re My Halo 10. Sunlight In The Rain

Equal parts primal, early rock’n’roll, deviant hill country blues & avant-garde art - TAV FALCO’s PANTHER BURNS are ramshackle, raw, unholy & utterly amazing. His historico-musico revue, The Unapproachable Panther Burns, originated in 1979 at the nadir of Memphis’ postmodern, post-Beale, post-Sun, post-Stax era, when the Mississippi River town had seemingly disappeared from the cultural map and shriveled into an obsolescent landmark.
This limited edition 7” release features bass legend Mike Watt and drummer Toby Dammit. The tracks were recorded during their 2015 USA Whistle Blower Tour.

William Hooker is a musician, composer, and poet with over 70 recordings as a leader, encompassing jazz, new music, experimental music and multi-disciplinary forms of expression (e.g. dance, silent film and spoken word). He has been recognized as “an iconoclast, and one of the most innovative musicians and drummers of his generation” [The Wire], which is evident nowhere more than on his latest album, Jubilation. The new work features collaborators Matt LaVelle on trumpet, Sarah Manning on alto saxophone, On Davis on guitar, and Adam Lane on Bass. The release marks Hooker’s fourth outing for Org Music, following Flesh and Bones (2023), Big Moon (2021), and Symphonie of Flowers (2019).
Hooker says of Jubilation, “our express purpose was to play great music and to communicate such.” The group, captured live in 2023 at acclaimed Brooklyn performance arts venue Roullette, does just that. The dynamic set showcases each of the players’ unique craft with extended solo performances, introducing new elements and building towards a more collaborative effort as the piece progresses. The result, captured faithfully on this recording, is pure Jubilation (noun; a feeling of great happiness and triumph).

Estimated Ship Date is December 17th Over 60 releases and 44 years into his career as a jazz drummer and composer, William Hooker has made (arguably) his best album yet during the pandemic in 2020, a follow up to his critically acclaimed 2019 album “Symphonie of Flowers". Clocking in at 83 minutes in total (depending on the format you’re listening to), “Big Moon” is as expansive as it is groundbreaking. With a reputation as one of the most innovative composers and drummers of his generation, for those in the know, Hooker does not disappoint on this latest work. Supported by a dynamic group of players which varies throughout the piece, Hooker weaves elements of spiritual and avant-garde jazz with tropical rhythms through eleven movements of the meditative journey that is “Big Moon”; a work that should be ingested and contemplated as one body of work. The release was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering, comes housed in a gatefold jacket, and features poetry from William Hooker. Includes digital download.

"As the year 2020 approached, a number of exciting plans were in the works for me to continue my yearlong 80th Birthday Tour that had successfully kicked off on May 26th, 2019. But on February 2nd , 2020, I played my one & only concert of the year! Because in March of 2020, the worldwide shutdown and ban of all live musical performances sadly became a way of life. Music, and live music in particular, is one of the true phenomenons of our very existence, so to have it eliminated effects each and every one of us leaving a void and disrupting & severing some of the most vital elements of the human spirit! On a personal level & due to my DNA I was compelled to seek out a solution for me to remain creative, positive and sane! So in September of 2020, after spending 5 agonizing months in isolation and musical lock down, I decided to uplift my spirits by launching a solo recording project. I wasn’t sure how I would do it, or even if I were in enough shape to do it. I dug down deep for strength & the courage that was needed to began the process of creating a lasting piece of Art After discussing the idea with some of my close fans and friends , I was inspired to precede; the problem though was ,with the exception of playing a couple of numbers one night at a beautiful gathering in Malibu , I hadn’t played with anyone in 5 months, so it still took a lot of soul searching to actually go forward! Time is a ever changing ever evolving never ceasing constant, In the 1970’s I composed a album entitled “The Time Is Now”, so once again time is the theme, motivation & inspiration for a Phil Ranelin project All of the positive flow of energy and love that surrounded me, gave me the courage to precede with the idea of recording a album that would represent a 2020 version of myself; “INFINITE EXPRESSIONS” is in fact , a true labor of Love! So with guidance from the ultimate source, the most high, I was able to complete the project that hopefully you are listening to right now! All of my life I have had spiritual guidance & protection that has allowed me to stay the course and persevere, this project is no different! THANK YOU GOD!"
Altoist Marion Brown is perhaps best known for performances on albums by his contemporaries, such as Coltrane's Ascension, but Brown stands on his own as one of the most creative and important forces to come out of the 1960s avant-garde jazz movement. Porto Novo is widely regarded as one of Brown's best recordings, captured during a 1967 session in Holland at the peak of his creative powers, accompanied by bassist Maarten van Regteben Altena and drummer Han Bennink. Previously out of print for decades, the recording has now been remastered for a long-overdue reissue on audiophile-grade vinyl, originially released exclusively for Record Store Day 2020, now widely available.

Formed in Vallejo, California in the 1950's, The Viscaynes were a high school doo-wop group who are said to be the first recorded singing group of Sylvester Stewart (aka Sly Stone), and the launching point of his extensive career. The group gained some early notoriety with a performance on Dick Stewart's Dance Party, after which they were introduced to producer George Motola. Charting on KYA radio's top 60 chart in 1961, "Yellow Moon" became a hit song for The Viscaynes, though they split up around the time of the song's popularity. "The Viscaynes & Friends" is the first official full-length release from the group, coming to light only after a master tape reel was discovered more than half a century since the group disbanded. The release features seven tracks from Sly and The Viscaynes, along with one cut from the The Individuals and two from The Precisions, all of which were produced by Motola.
The vinyl release comes in a gatefold jacket with extensive liner notes from author, historian, and radio host Rickey Vincent.

Equal parts primal, early rock’n’roll, deviant hill country blues, and avant-garde art, Tav Falco's Panther Burns are ramshackle, raw, unholy & utterly amazing. For his latest release, Tav Falco teams up with legendary bassist Mike Watt and drummer Toby Dammit. The songs were recorded during the group's 2015 USA Whistle Blower Tour.

The group features members and ex-members of Warpaint, Starlite Desperation, Dante Vs Zombies, Sex Stains, Detroit Cobras, and many others. They describe their unique, eclectic, weirdo punk sound as "a stickier, sub tropical Birthday Party, Contortions or CAN ghost writing for The Gun Club or The Flesh Eaters." The self-titled album, produced by frontman Dante White Aliano, is available on LP, CD, and digital formats via Org Music.
Maryland-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Michael Nau is back with a fourth “solo” album, on the heels of his 2018 release, Michael Nau & The Mighty Thread. On his latest effort, Less Ready To Go, Nau enlisted Scott McMicken (Dr. Dog) as a producer, along with collaborators Andrew Dost (Fun.), Whitney McGraw (Cotton Jones), Zach Miller (Dr. Dog), Seth Kauffman (Floating Action), and Benny Yurco (Grace Potter & the Nocturnals).

Teamed up with pianist Kenny Drew, bassist Niels Pedersen and drummer Albert "Tootie" Heath for a club date at Copenhagen's Montmartre in 1967, the great tenor saxophonist Johnny Griffin really stretches out on four numbers: "The Man I Love," "Hush-A-Bye," and "Blues for Harvey." Griffin shows why he was early on billed as "the world's fastest tenor" although he also displays warmth on "Sophisticated Lady." A fine example of Griffin's underrated talents. The album was remastered for vinyl from original analog tapes by Bernie Grundman, and pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas Group in Germany.
