One of the seminal works from the genre to become known as pop punk, the Descendents’ Milo Goes to College arrived in the year 1982 as most of the members of the band were just finishing high school. They began by writing catchy, hummable melodies about girls, parents, and food, among other things. Despite their unabashedly juvenile lyrical approach, they played with a blistering intensity rivaling any of the bands in the burgeoning hardcore crowd that they fell in with. This winning formula has carried the group for decades, as their influence has inspired countless followers (some becoming far more famous) in their wake. Now, 43 years later, Descendents are reclaiming and reissuing the album that started it all.
This “Punk Note” edition comes with alternate packaging artwork from designer John Yates (Stealworks). The artwork is a nod to Reid Miles and Francis Wolff, and their amazing work at the Blue Note label. The case-wrapped jacket includes new liner notes by BrooklynVegan senior editor Andrew Sacher.

Fun
ORGM-1072-A
Daniel Johnston's major label debut Fun was originally released in 1994 on Atlantic Records while he was housed in a mental institution. Featuring some of Daniel's finest songwriting and boasting the most "accessible" sound of his eccentric and deep catalog, producer Paul Leary (Butthole Surfers) eloquently preserves the singer/songwriter's earnest appeal and wraps it in sympathetic musical support. The aspiring cartoonist's playful, symbol-heavy sketches have graced many of his album covers, including Fun.

Originally released in 2013, the lone collaborative record from The Moldy Peaches' Adam Green and Little Joy's Binki Shapiro stands as a charming ode to the folk pop of the 60's. The album began to take shape when Green supported Little Joy on a South American jaunt a few years prior. Though the ten duets here muse plainly on failed romances and the ensuing emotional turmoil, they take on a surprisingly gentle, matter-of-fact tone. Built on breezy melodies and strummed guitars accented by subtle synth-work, the record highlights the duo's admiration for each others' work, making for compelling repeated listening.
Available on aqua color vinyl in a gatefold package, CD, and limited edition signed test pressing (only 20 pressed). Signatures are in the dead wax of the records, so they are still playable.

Weather Report
ORGM-2004
Here we have the free-floating, abstract beginnings of Weather Report, which would define the state of the electronic jazz/rock art from its first note almost to its last. Their first album is a direct extension of the Miles Davis In a Silent Way/Bitches Brew period, more fluid in sound and more volatile in interplay. All Music calls it one of the most impressive debuts of all time by a jazz group. Weather Report is getting new life with this incredible pressing. Mastered from original tapes at 45rpm, pressed on two 180 gram audiophile-grade vinyl, and housed in an oldschool tip-on gatefold jacket.
