Velvert Turner is largely known for being a protégé and student of Jimi Hendrix, who he met as a teenager in New York in the late ‘60s. The influence is immediately clear, with respect to both Turner’s guitar work and vocals. Some have even mistaken his only album for a “lost” Hendrix recording, and it’s hard to blame them. Velvert Turner Group’s self-titled 1972 release, which aptly closes with a tribute to Hendrix (a cover of “Freedom”), has been out of print for decades. Now it’s coming back to vinyl with a pink color pressing, mastered from original analog tapes. This reissue features an alternate mix of the first song, “Madonna (of the Seven Moons)”, as a bonus track.

Live at Bonnaroo '22
ORGM-2300-RY
** Red & Yellow variant is a preorder, set to ship 3/31**
Live at Bonnaroo '22 captures Melbourne psych-rockers King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard at their most freewheeling and ferocious. Taking the stage at the Tennessee festival to a captive audience as the clock struck midnight, the band ripped through this eleven-song set with intensity, letting up only to space out on certain tracks like the near ten-minute "Magenta Mountain" and a poignant rendition of fan favorite "Work This Time". This official bootlegger version of the release is spread out across two LPs, with one pressed on plutonium and the other on magma color vinyl. The release was mastered for vinyl by Kern Haug and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing, with artwork by Michael Rogers.
