Doctor Ross, also known as "Doctor Ross the Harmonica Boss", made his reputation as a bluesman in Memphis before moving to Michigan. During the early '50s, Ross recorded his first sides, including "Chicago Breakdown”, with Sam Phillips at Sun Records. This compilation, Memphis Breakdown, compiles the best of those early Memphis sessions all in one place, remastered for vinyl.

During a two-day period in July of 1967, the tenor-saxophonist and his quartet recorded multiple albums worth of material at one of Gordon’s favorite venues, the legendary Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen. This record, Walk The Blues, is pulled from the second night, and finds Dexter in an expansive, relaxed mood in front of an appreciative audience. These brilliant recordings will be available on standard black and transparent blue vinyl with this audiophile-grade pressing from Pallas Group in Germany.

Formed in 1976, Detective featured vocalist Michael Des Barres, guitarist Michael Monarch (Steppenwolf), bassist Bobby Pickett, ex-Yes keyboardist Tony Kaye, and drummer Jon Hyde. The band signed to Led Zeppelin's Swan Song label and released their self-titled debut album a year later. The album has been remastered from original analog tapes for its first vinyl pressing since 1977. It is limited to 2,000 units and pressed on silver color vinyl. The reissue includes new packaging with an updated back cover, new liner notes and an insert.

Throughout a fifty year recording career, Glenn Copeland's music has defied categorization and genre. This truly incredible performance has been underappreciated throughout the years, in part because it had not been pressed in nearly three decades. Originally pressed on white color vinyl for Record Store Day 2016, Ben Webster's 'Gone With The Wind' will now be widely available on 180 gram black vinyl. The performance took place at the legendary Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen during January of 1965, right in the prime of Webster’s long European period.

Young, Tough and Terrible is the second and final album from The Lost Generation. The Chicago-based soul group featured vocalists Lowrell Simon, Fred Simon (Chi-Lites), Larry Brownlee, and Jesse Dean, and was only active for a few years in the 70s. Known for their powerful harmonies and forays into funk, the group was able to find a home with the legendary Brunswick Records. This reissue will be the first U.S. pressing in half a century, mastered for vinyl from the original tapes.

From the rare and obscure to the unknown, producer Tee Cardaci mines eleven genre-spanning gems produced during the waning days of Brazil's military dictatorship, recorded by a new emerging class of artists operating outside of the major label system. Sonhos Secretos, or Secret Dreams in English, alludes to the quiet aspirations of those that made these independent and privately released seven-inches as well as to the fact that many of these records have long remained essentially a secret. It's also, to some extent, a reference to a certain dream-like quality that permeates this collection. While the songs featured here can all can be housed under the blanket term, MPB (Música Popular Brasileira or Brazilian Popular Music), they also contain, to varying degrees, elements of jazz, soul, folk, prog, baroque rock and shimmering pop. This unique compilation, presented by reissue specialists Org Music and online audio journal Aquarium Drunkard, includes a fold-out insert with artist interviews and additional liner notes by Brazilian music scholar Allen Thayer. The audio was restored and mastered by award winning engineer Dave Gardner.

Adam Green and Kimya Dawson originally crossed paths at an open mic night in Mount Kisco, New York in the early 90s. From there they went on to record a surplus of home recordings with various friends under the moniker The Moldy Peaches, and eventually became staples in the NYC anti-folk scene of the late 90’s/ early 2000’s. After releasing several albums that gained traction in the U.S. and UK, the group broke into the mainstream when their song “Anyone Else But You” appeared in the hit indie film “Juno” (2007).

Origin Story: 1994-1999 is a collection of songs, unreleased demos, live tracks, and poems from the early years of The Moldy Peaches, and outline the tale of how the band came to be. Liner notes written by Adam and Kimya detail the stories behind each track and rare photos included in the packaging help to illustrate the life and times of the duo when they were young.  Audio remastered by Sarah Register, packaging designed by Kelly Cousins.

Garfield is the debut album from Adam Green (of New York anti-folk group The Moldy Peaches). Originally released in 2002, Garfield is now available for the first time on vinyl for the record’s 20 year anniversary. The packaging features unpublished photos and liner notes written by Adam, as well as unreleased demos and live recordings from the early to mid 90’s. Mastered by Mitch Rackin, the vinyl edition of the album comes as a deluxe double LP packaged in a gatefold jacket available on both powder blue and standard black vinyl.

Planet Chernobyl. Poem, libretto, opera. There’s more than one Planet Chernobyl. You’ll find that here, in the words of poet Charles Plymell, the vision of bassist Mike Watt and the orchestrations of singer/composer Petra Haden. Plymell’s words chronicle the horrific Chernobyl disaster of 1986. After finding the heavy subject matter very moving, Watt and Haden were inspired to put the words to music in order to share them with the world. Higher and Higher is the 1967 album from "Mr. Excitement” himself, R&B pioneer Jackie Wilson. As one of the defining vocalists of the era, this record finds Wilson in peak form and features one of his biggest hits, “(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher and Higher.” This release is the latest edition in Org Music’s reissue series from the classic Brunswick Records catalog. Like the other release in the series, the album was mastered from original Brunswick tapes and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing.

Howling Book is the final studio album from Los Angeles band Eleven. Made up of multi-instrumentalists Alain Johannes and Natasha Shneider trading off lead vocals, the trio is rounded out by Jack Irons (RHCP, Pearl Jam) on drums. The record’s moody, groove heavy sound features bluesy guitar work and powerhouse vocal performances throughout that come together for a distinct blend of hard rock. The album will finally be available on vinyl for the first time in celebration of its 20th anniversary,  spread across two LPs in a gatefold jacket, featuring three previously unreleased bonus tracks. The reissue is out on December 1, 2023.

Shamballa is the 1993 collaboration from jazz drummer William Hooker, Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), and composer Elliott Sharp. The release features Hooker performing duets with each musician. Hooker and Moore’s performance is littered with bursts of feedback and distortion, while the collaboration with Sharp is characterized by a more electronic sound, building a sense of technology. The pieces were released on vinyl for the first time as a double LP for Record Store Day 2023, limited to 1,500 copies.

Europe 1966 is a box set consisting of live performances from free jazz visionary Albert Ayler. Each of the 4 LP's highlights some of the most magnificent moments on this European tour, showcasing Ayler and his bandmates at the height of their powers. The release includes performances from Berlin, Lörrach, Stockholm, and Paris, all of which occurred within a two week span. Ayler's masterful band on this tour included his brother Donald on trumpet, Michel Samson on violin, William Folwell on double bass, and Beaver Harris on drums. These performances have been remastered for vinyl by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering. The package also includes a 12 x 24 fold-out insert, featuring liner notes from John Litweller and photos from the tour. The box set was originally released for Record Store Day 2023, with each LP pressed on audiophile-grade black vinyl at Pallas Group in Germany.

Flesh and Bones is the latest release from drummer, composer, and poet William Hooker. The album marks his third full length effort for Org Music, following “Big Moon” (2021) and “Symphonie of Flowers” (2019). Hooker has also referred to the new work as his “Black Lives Suite”, a multi-disciplinary event which uses music and poetry to address the social issues of the times. Recorded at NYU Steinhart Studios, the recording features fellow New York based players Ras Moshe, Charles Burnham, On Davis, Hilliard Greene, and Luke Stewart. After more than 70 releases as a leader and nearly five decades into his career, William Hooker has solidified his reputation as one of the most unique composers and drummers of his generation, and he continues to explore new territory. Oh! The Grandeur is the second album from Andrew Bird’s Bowl of Fire, released in 1999 on the heels of their debut the year prior. Recorded in New Orleans, the record expands on the groups’ unique blend of freewheeling folk and swing. This will be the first ever vinyl pressing of the album, more than twenty years after its initial release. It comes as a double LP, housed in a gatefold jacket, and features an etching on the fourth side. The release is available everywhere on October 13th.

This bundle includes a copy of Westbound Train's latest album Dedication, as well as a copy of the first ever pressing of their 2000 album Transitions. Both LPs will come on color vinyl, with Dedication on transparent blue marble and Transitions on gold marble.

Overwhelming Colorfast were a Bay Area band that was crucial to the foundation of pop-punk. Melding sharp hooks with the rawness of early Hüsker Dü, the band quickly became local favorites among their scene. A full three decades later, ORG Music is remastering and reissuing their blistering self-titled debut for its first US release. Produced by Butch Vig, the record sees a young version of the band at their most urgent, and even features a Beatles cover for good measure. Blank Generation is the groundbreaking 1977 album from punk rock luminary Richard Hell and his band the Voidoids. This Deluxe CD package of his seminal debut record includes a 20 page booklet containing the original liner notes by John Picarella and a new afterword from Richard himself, a fold-out poster, and a printed CD sleeve with lyrics. It reverts to the cuts from the original version of the album, bolstered by their superior 2017 remasterings. This updated edition is available everywhere on June 23rd, 2023.

There’s A Trumpet In My Soul is the 1975 album from avant-garde tenor saxophonist Archie Shepp, recorded in April of the same year at Sound Ideas Studio in New York City. The record is comprised of two three-part suites and the 10 minute “Down In Brazil,” among which are two vocal parts and a poem recitation. The outing finds Shepp, then in his musical prime, backed by a stellar group of players which grows to 13 pieces at times. This crew includes Ray Draper (tuba), Charles Greenlee (trombone) Dave Burrell (piano), and Jimmy Garrison (bass), among others. For the first time since 1979, the record is being reissued on vinyl. This latest addition to Org Music’s Freedom Records reissue series was mastered for vinyl by Dave Gardner, includes reimagined cover art by Mike Rogers, and was pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas Group in Germany.

No one knew what to make of the Jesus People. A loosely aligned youth movement growing out of California in the late ‘60s, it found waves of hippies, burnouts, stoners, and weirdos turning Jesus Christ. But that didn’t mean they were going to tidy up. Jesus People wore their hair long and kept their slang wiggy, extolling the highs of “the Jesus trip” and asking, “You’ve tried everything else—why not try Jesus?” Everywhere they went, from mainstream churches on the West Coast to rural communities where back to the land-types founded communes, the Jesus People inspired confusion.

The second installment of the ongoing series from Org Music and Aquarium Drunkard, Jesus People Music, Volume 2: The Reckoning, is a document of these strange times. Featuring eight tracks from eight different artists, this is a collection a spacey psych-folk and psychedelic blues barn-burners. The compilation is out May 26 on transparent red vinyl, and includes a fold-out insert featuring liner notes from Jason P. Woodbury.

Thriller is the 1975 album from Augustus Pablo, the reggae visionary who popularized the use of the melodica in the genre. As the founder of multiple labels, he was a crucial part of invigorating the burgeoning dub reggae scene in its early days. The record’s warm, mellow sound makes for a breezy and hypnotic listen, perfectly paired with a jazz cigarette. This lost gem has been reissued with updated artwork from D. Norsen, and was pressed at Furnace Record Pressing.

The Color Green EP is 20 minutes of lysergic, countercultural Americana haze where tendrils of weeping steel guitar drip through latticeworks of quicksilver guitar leads under dozy stacks of cloudy vocal harmonies. Produced entirely by Kohll, the four track EP was recorded on a Tascam 488 at various locations across the country and features a cast of freaks: Coley Gold, Alex Amini, Eric Carney and John “Catfish” DeLorme. This release will be available on green vinyl as a 12" EP.

94-95 anthologizes the seven songs from the now-classic Samuel EP and 7"s released by Art Monk Construction and Simba Records in the mid-nineties. This brief-but-essential collection of post-hardcore/emo/indie rock archival material sounds as timely and fresh as it did during the pivotal time the songs were recorded. 94-95 fits in nicely alongside releases by Texas Is the Reason, The Promise Ring, Christie Front Drive and others from that influential era, now being discovered by a new generation of emo and punk fans. Remixed from the original analog masters by Benjamin Green and remastered by Levi Seitz, 94-95 will be available on all digital streaming services on November 3rd, and on vinyl on February 17th 2023. This bundle includes three performances from the legendary tenor-saxophonist Dexter Gordon. Titles included are Body and Soul, Take the 'A' Train, and Both Sides of Midnight. Each record was pressed on 180g black vinyl at Pallas Group. 

Cecil Taylor has always been considered one of the most daring and radical improvisers within the jazz genre, often pushing the boundaries with avant-garde and free jazz compositions. The Great Paris Concert is no exception Taylor's reputation. The artistic communication between the players of Taylor's quartet is second to none, and it's certainly palpable on every track of the album. Echoing each other's melodies, and 'battling' each other with solos, the group may have never sounded better. This historic concert - long out of print on vinyl - has been remastered by Infrasonic Mastering, and is presented across two audiophile-grade LPs, complete with photos and liner notes. It was pressed on white vinyl and limited to 2,000 copies.

More than ten years playing in Chicago punk bands has ironically taught Zachary "Del" Weinberg one thing: how to write a great pop song. Del, the brains behind Choice Words, constructs catchy, three-chord guitar riffs made interesting by his hammering drums, biting lyrics, and wall-of-sound recording style.

Choice Words’ debut release on Org Music—wittily entitled “...um”—is as much a nod to 1970s Elvis Costello power-pop as to the hard-hitting 90s alternative rock of Superchunk and Superdrag. Recorded at Del’s new home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, “...um” showcases Del’s knack for crafting an earworm of a tune, while at the same time, capturing the raucous energy expected of a punk scene veteran.

Choice Words pays homage to Del’s teenage years, where he grew up in Toledo, Ohio, in the shadow of Detroit’s garage rock revival. Stuffing seven tracks into seventeen minutes, however, “...um” never strays too far from Del’s background as the former drummer of 2010s Chicago DIY punk staples Cloud Mouth and Scoundrel.

Mia Doi Todd follows up her acclaimed album 'Music Life' with a set of stellar remixes, entitled 'Ten Views of Music Life.' Described by Dusted Magazine as "one of those artists that seem to function not just as creators in their own right, but as connecting links between other musicians," Mia did not need to look far to find world-class artists to remix her songs. The diversity of the resulting collection is also its strength. Despite a wide range of stylistic methodologies employed, the project feels cohesive and creates the impression of a magical world uniting around the purity of expression in Mia's voice. Her vocals and other elements from the original 'Music Life' tracks find themselves enveloped in entirely new landscapes, from Dntel's quirky electro-pop, to Julia Holter and Tashi Wada's pensive and heartfelt orchestration, to the inimitable, free-form disco-boogie touch of Georgia Anne Muldrow. There's an Afrobeat contribution from LA's Jungle Fire and a cinematic kaleidoscope from Carlos Nin~o & Friends, featuring Jamael Dean and Sharada Shashidhar. Brazilian producer Kassin gives a fresh twist to Mia's version of Gregory Isaacs' classic "If I Don't Have You." Pianist Vardan Ovsepian's brooding yet hopeful arrangement of "Take Me to the Mountain" ventures into the hills and valleys of sound, cradling Mia’s rich voice in subtle reharmonizations. The album includes contributions from some of Mia's longtime collaborators, such as Dntel and Carlos Nin~o, as well as from a younger generation of musicians, such as the brilliant up-and-coming producer Jamael Dean (here as Jira><, in addition to his keyboard work with Carlos) and Human Error Club (featuring Mekala Session of the Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra on drums). The cover artwork by Kozyndan portrays Mia as Benzaiten, goddess of music in the Japanese pantheon, with a wink to the Greek vase painting style of the cover of 'Music Life' - a visual remix, itself, of Mia's original artwork.

"Atenção!: Novos Sons do Brasil” (Attention! New Sounds of Brazil) is a compilation produced in collaboration between online audio journal Aquarium Drunkard and Org Music. This is not your typical Brazilian music compilation. These ten songs capture a new wave of musicians who are reinterpreting their country’s musical heritage in bold and divergent ways, generations removed from the familiar sounds of breezy bossas or psychedelic tropicália. While these songs don’t sound like bossa nova or Tropicália, they share the tradition of cultural collision, mashing styles from abroad and home indiscriminately, tearing down genre barriers. The release features the artwork of celebrated visual artist Robbie Simon, and includes an insert with extensive liner notes by Brazilian music scholar Allen Thayer.

Lovely Music chronicles the early days of Ivan Mairesse’s Sagittaire project, pulling from material written between 2015 and 2017 in San Francisco, where Mairesse recorded the album before moving back to his hometown of Los Angeles. Mairesse takes an introspective approach to songwriting on Lovely Music, juxtaposing dark lyrics with lush pop arrangements and a tender vocal delivery. Originally self-released in 2020 solely in digital form, the album gets a new life with this vinyl release, a joint venture between Org Music and Aquarium Drunkard. The album is available on yellow color vinyl. While this 2017 recording will be an introduction to Sagittare for most, Mairesse has written and recorded a wealth of new material in the subsequent years, varying in style and genre, so you can expect to hear more from him soon.

Milk Jennings debut album ‘Sleep Talker’, produced & mixed by Sam Cohen (Kevin Morby, Alexandra Savior, Danger Mouse), will be released on June 3, 2022. David Hillyard & The Rocksteady 7 are back with their first release since their 2018 album, The Giver. The new seven inch single "The Frog” — Hillyard’s reinterpretation of João Donato’s "A Rã” — is the first glimpse at the group’s upcoming album, Plague Doctor, which is due out this summer. The single, like the album it precedes, blends the Rocksteady 7’s signature sound, which combines elements of American jazz and Jamaican influences, with classic Brazilian rhythms and themes. The Rocksteady 7 features some of the best players in the current ska/reggae scene, including members of NYC ska staples The Slackers and percussionist Larry McDonald (Toots & The Maytals, Gil Scott-Heron. Lee “Scratch” Perry). Fittingly, “The Frog” comes on green color vinyl, with the full track split between two sides. Includes digital download of both tracks.

Peggy Lee was in top form in 1955, in every aspect of her career. As a vocalist, she was at her peak. Pete Kelly’s Blues (her best acting role) and Lady And The Tramp (she co-wrote six songs and provided the voices for four characters) were both set to be released. That same year, she recorded 49 selections as radio transcriptions for the World Program Service. These recordings were not released to the public, but used by radio stations with unexpected time to fill. Lee’s cool but inwardly heated voice is joined by frequent collaborators, pianist Gene DiNovi, guitarist Bill Pitman, Bob Whitlock or Don Prell on bass, drummer Larry Bunker, Ramon “Ray” Rivera on congas, harpist Stella Castellucci, and trumpeter Pete Candoli. This series compiles the best selections from those 1955 recordings. These select tunes were mastered for vinyl at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing on pink color vinyl, originally only available for RSD 2021.

Infectious Grooves, the funk metal supergroup led by Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir, is back! Take You On A Ride (EP) features three unreleased tracks from 1995 along with their first newly recorded song in years. Infectious Grooves features bassist Robert Trujillo (Metallica), drummer Brooks Wackerman (Avenged Sevenfold), Dean Pleasants (Suicidal Tendencies), and other veteran players. The EP comes on 12" vinyl, mastered at 45RPM. Originally pressed for Record Store Day 2020, this album is now widely available!

Eric Slick's 2020 studio album, Wiseacre, has gained extensive critical acclaim since dropping via his own Slick Records last August. Jesus. People. Music.
That was the sequence of things. First the faith, experiencing a revival in the Summer of Love. Then, people gathered in song, raising their voices over the rock & roll sounds that came naturally to them. All along the West Coast, then throughout the country, tiny fires of the Holy Spirit began catching among longhaired youths. Their fellow hippies labeled these countercultural Christians “Jesus Freaks,” but before long, Jesus People were self-identifying using the term.

‘The End Is At Hand’ is the first volume in a series of compilations that exemplify the sound of the Jesus People movement of the 1960’s and 70’s in America. From Spokane, Washington to northern New Jersey, devoted musical groups were embracing the psychedelic overtones of the bohemian lifestyle, and intertwining their faith with the spirit of the times. The need to proclaim the End of Days produced some of the most fiery music of the genre—fuzzy hymns backed by cosmic choirs and heavy psych populated with frightening scenes from the Book of Revelation—but the songbook and its lyrical focus was varied, populated with lo-fi loner folk, simmering with yearning hope, and tripped out countrified songs about eternal devotion as well.

Los Angeles based singer/songwriter Mia Doi Todd's critically acclaimed 2008 album, GEA, will finally make its vinyl debut with a limited pressing on green color vinyl, originally released for RSD 2020. Todd is at her best on GEA, both in terms of songwriting and arrangements, with help from co-producers Carlos Niño and Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. The album has been remastered for vinyl, and the packaging features an updated versoin of her original cover artwork, along with a lyric insert. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Carbonfund.org to offset the carbon footprint of this release.

Launched in 2005, the blog Aquarium Drunkard has become a daily destination for many on a never ending quest for musical discovery. In 2011, Aquarium Drunkard established The Lagniappe Sessions, featuring some of the site's favorite artists covering some of their favorite artists. Released for RSD Black Friday in 2016, "The Lagniappe Sessions Volume 1" brought these sessions to vinyl for the first time. Aquarium Drunkard has now teamed up with ORG Music for a second volume of the series, featuring an eclectic group of artists including Kevin Morby, Mikal Cronin, The Mountain Goats, Damien Jurado, and many more. The record, limited to 1,500 copies worldwide, comes pressed on transparent color vinyl, originally released exclusively for Record Store Day 2020.
