Guitar legend and Television co-founder Richard Lloyd has had a profound influence on rock & roll, with people like Jeff Tweedy citing Lloyd as his “musical hero”. Yet Lloyd’s solo career has somehow largely been overlooked and under-appreciated.With the release of his critically acclaimed 2017 memoir, Everything is Combustable, there is a renewed interest in his post-Television work. Perhaps the most obscure of his solo releases is Lodestones, an album that was released in 2010 only as a digital download. The album came to vinyl with this 2018 pressing, available as a transparent orange LP.

Estrela Mágica is a starcrossed collaboration between Samira Winter (Winter) and Glenn Brigman (Triptides). Sighting influences from Brazil’s colorful Tropicalia movement as well as the phased out sunshine psychedelia of the American 1960’s, Winter and Triptides started blending together their favorite musical colors into a brand new sonic palette. Two years and a dozen home recording sessions later, they had crafted enough material to form Estrela Mágica.

The “Infinite Summer” EP shows a more playful 80’s spin on Winter’s already nostalgic sound. This bilingual release, with songs in both English and Portuguese, is uplifting and fresh. With fun dream pop songs such as “Everything” and “Bonsai” as well as introspective tracks like “Always Teenager” and “Disappear,” there’s a little something for everyone. The indie pop tunes were recorded at the former Echo Park Lolipop Records studio produced by the 80’s pop master, Wyatt Blair. The release was pressed on mint color vinyl.

Once again, Johnny Cash teams up with Jerry Lee Lewis to deliver a power-packed, one-of-a-kind release. The legends delve into their gospel roots, revisiting the great standards such as "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" and "Give Me That Old Time Religion," as well as interpreting the New Orleans favorite "When the Saints Go Marching In." While the songs are not all traditional gospel favorites, the blend of folksy Sunday-afternoon-drive music makes for a winning package.

Bass legend Mike Watt teams up with Bucky Pope, John Herndon, Vince Meghrouni, and Pete Mazich for their new project, Tone Scientists, on this limited edition seven inch. Side A features a Bucky Pope original, “Nuts.” On side B, the group takes on Sun Ra’s “Tiny Pyramids” with incredible results. Previously released for Record Store Day Black Friday 2018, this fantastic 7" is now widely available. Half of the pressing, randomly shipped, will come on silver color vinyl, with the other half on standard black vinyl.

Recorded live at Slim’s in San Francisco, Mindfulness is the brilliant soundscape created by drummer William Hooker, along with Glenn Spearman on tenor saxophone and DJ Olive. The five Hooker compositions flow into each other, one after another, seamlessly, as if to take the listener on a musical voyage through time and space. The layers of vibrant sound, accompanied by trashing drums and shrieking sax show the incredible ability of each musician to take their instrumental vocabulary to a new level. The album receives its first ever vinyl release with this clear 2xLP pressing, featuring two unreleased bonus tracks, preivously only for Record Store Day, but now widely available.

The self-titled debut album by American musician and rock & roll pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis, released in 1958 by Sun Record Company. Produced by legends Jack Clement and Sam Phillips, the album features songs written by Lewis, his contemporaries at Sun Records (including Elvis), the traditional "When The Saints Go Marching In", and Hank Williams' "Jambalaya".

Here we have the free-floating, abstract beginnings of Weather Report, which would define the state of the electronic jazz/rock art from its first note almost to its last. Their first album is a direct extension of the Miles Davis In a Silent Way/Bitches Brew period, more fluid in sound and more volatile in interplay. All Music calls it one of the most impressive debuts of all time by a jazz group. Weather Report is getting new life with this incredible pressing. Mastered from original tapes at 45rpm, pressed on two 180 gram audiophile-grade vinyl, and housed in an oldschool tip-on gatefold jacket.

Sun Ra’s Arkestra was at its most radical during this period, alternating simple chants with very outside playing and dense ensembles. Although no precise date is given, these five cuts are thought to have been documented circa 1967-1968 by Sun Ra (piano) and his Arkestra in New York City, where the band was in residence at the time.

First released in a limited edition color vinyl for Record Store Day 2014, this title is now widely available on audiophile-grade black vinyl, pressed at Pallas Group in Germany. It’s a must have for any serious avant garde jazz fan.

Born in Mississippi, “Big Bill Broonzy” – the name refers to his 6’ 6” physical stature – remains largely unsung as far as a household name, despite recording several hundred songs, many of which he wrote. From the late 1920s through the late 1950s, this immensely prolific blues performer won over fellow musicians and “race music” fans alike. As mentor to Muddy Waters and a major influence on artists like Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, and Rod Stewart, Broonzy’s impact on music cannot be understated. This solo performance captures Big Bill’s affable personality and ability to hold the attention of an appreciative audience with his storytelling, acoustic guitar licks, and a strong singing voice that leaves an indelible impression that this man had experiences in the fields, the factories, and the railroads. The record was mastered from original analog tape by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering, and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing. Liner notes by Larry Jaffee.

Würm was a sludge metal band started in 1973 by bass player Chuck Dukowski, who would later join Black Flag. Without Würm, the genres of punk rock and hardcore would never have been the same. The band’s practice space, the Würmhole – a hangout for musicians in Hermosa Beach during the mid-late 70’s – is where Keith Morris and Greg Ginn met Dukowski and ultimately formed the original Black Flag line-up. The band’s only album, Feast, was released in 1985 after the band’s demise. With the help of Chuck Dukowski, the long-out-of-print LP is being “exhumed” and reissued, along with a second LP featuring unreleased tracks, demos, and more. The package comes complete with retrospective liner notes from Dukowski himself, plus never-before-seen photos from the early days. Previously an exclusive for Black Friday 2019, the double LP was released on limited edition blue color vinyl.

The Spiritual, a free jazz album recorded by the Art Ensemble of Chicago in 1974, finds the group of stellar musicians at their creative peak. With various types of percussion, though the absence of a traditional drummer, the ensemble is able to create vivid, freeing compositions without the confines of conventional structure. The quartet, consisting of Joseph Jarman, Roscoe Mitchell, Lester Bowie, and Malachi Favors, explore the depths of Avant-Garde Jazz through a means that has yet to be touched on in a comparable capacity. Previously released on red color vinyl exclusively for Record Store Day, The Spiritual will now be widely available on 180gram black vinyl. Mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering. The Ad Libs, a phenomenal yet under-appreciated American vocal group hailing from Hudson County, NJ, had their first and only smash hit within their first year as a group, with ‘The Boy From New York City.’ Though several other singles from the doo-wop group landed on the Billboard R&B chart’s, The Ad Libs never released a full length album. Presenting The Ad Libs is the group’s debut album that never happened. A collection of singles, b-sides, and unused studio cuts come together to show the 1960’s soul singers in a whole new light. The tracks were remastered for vinyl at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Pallas Group in Germany on purple color vinyl.

Way Out Yonder is the second live release from Terry Riley & Gyan Riley, the duo comprised of iconic American composer and minimalist pioneer Terry Riley and his guitarist/composer son Gyan Riley. The album is comprised of spontaneous improvisations and compositions by both Terry and Gyan, captured during three performances in Canada, Japan and the US, and features the elder Riley on piano, voice, melodica and electronics. The album artwork was created by Barbara Falconer, who also painted the cover of Riley’s landmark 1978 release, Sri Camel.

The third and final installment of Thelonious Monk’s London Collection, his last recording session as a band leader, finally gets its time to shine on vinyl. The recording features the legendary pianist/composer on six solo performances as well as five numbers with bassist Al McKibbon and drummer Art Blakey. It was remastered from original analog tapes by Bernie Grundman and pressed on 180gram audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas in Germany.

Tutankhamun, the 1969 album by avant-garde jazz pioneers Art Ensemble of Chicago, features performances by Lester Bowie, Joseph Jarman, Roscoe Mitchell and Malachi Favors Maghostut. As the AllMusic review states, "This landmark album is one of the most influential free jazz recordings in the '60s avant-garde canon.” Previously out of print for over three decades, Tutankhamun has been remastered for vinyl at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas in Germany. As a bonus, the reissue features “Tthinitthedalen" Part 1 and 2, closing out sides A and B, respectively.
